- 6 Steaks: Ribeye Strip Steaks, T-Bones or Sirloin
- ½ cup salted butter
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- ¼ cup diced onion
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh rosemary
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
Prepare a grill fire to 350° using hickory or oak for smoke flavor.
Pat steaks dry with paper towels.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add garlic, onion, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally about 3- 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Place steaks onto the hot grill. Brush with garlic and onion butter. Close the lid and cook 5 minutes.
Flip the steaks, brushing with remaining butter. Close the lid and cook another 3- 5 minutes or until desired doneness is reached using a digital meat thermometer.
Remove steaks from the grill and rest 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Internal Temperature for Steaks
- Rare: 130°
- Medium Rare: 140°
- Medium: 155°
- Well Done: 165°
Store leftover steak in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
Reheat sliced steak in a skillet with butter over medium heat, stir occasionally until heated through.
