Maple Ginger Glazed Salmon

Ingredients

  • 2 pound salmon fillet
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon granulated garlic
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  • Prepare a grill fire to 300°.
  • Pat salmon dry with paper towels and place on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic, ginger and salt.
  • Cook over medium heat until just heated through but not boiling.
  • Brush a thick layer of the glaze over the salmon.
  • Place the salmon, skin side down on the grill and cook with the grill closed.
  • Brush salmon with glaze every 10 minutes until salmon is cooked to 140° using a digital thermometer. About 25 minutes total, depending on the size of the salmon filet.
  • Remove to a serving platter and rest 5- 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
Reheat in a skillet, skin side down, covered over medium heat about 5- 8 minutes.
