- 2 pound salmon fillet
- ½ cup pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon granulated garlic
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
Prepare a grill fire to 300°.
Pat salmon dry with paper towels and place on a rimmed baking sheet.
In a small saucepan, combine the maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic, ginger and salt.
Cook over medium heat until just heated through but not boiling.
Brush a thick layer of the glaze over the salmon.
Place the salmon, skin side down on the grill and cook with the grill closed.
Brush salmon with glaze every 10 minutes until salmon is cooked to 140° using a digital thermometer. About 25 minutes total, depending on the size of the salmon filet.
Remove to a serving platter and rest 5- 10 minutes before serving.
Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
Reheat in a skillet, skin side down, covered over medium heat about 5- 8 minutes.
