Ingredients

  • 2 pounds smoked pork shoulder
  • ¾ cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup lime juice
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • For Serving:
  • Flour Tortillas
  • Diced Onion
  • Diced Avocado
  • Salsa
  • Sour Cream
  • Cilantro

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°.
  • Shred or chop smoked pork and place on a sheet pan.
  • In a bowl, combine orange juice, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin and salt.
  • Pour over pork and stir until well coated.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, stirring about halfway through the cooking time.
  • Serve pork with flour tortillas and desired toppings.

Notes

Store leftover carnitas in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 4 days.
Reheat pork in a skillet with about a tablespoon orange juice over medium heat. Stir often, cooking until heated through.
