Ingredients for Steak Rub:

  • Brown Sugar
  • Granulated Garlic
  • Chili Powder
  • Dried Thyme
  • Kosher Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Smoked Paprika

How to Make Steak Rub:

  • In a bowl, add brown sugar with garlic, chili powder, thyme, salt, pepper and smoked paprika.
  • Mix well.

  • Store in an airtight container in a pantry cabinet for up to 3 months. 
  • Mix with a fork before using. Brown sugar may clump a bit, but a fork will break it up easily.

Use 1 to 2 tablespoons per pound of beef.

  1. I just got 1/8 cow, and I don’t really know what I’m doing half the time when it comes to preparing the meat. I made this steak rub, and wow, it made the steak perfect! Now I feel kind of like a pro! Thanks for the recipe.
