Hi! I just have to comment because honestly, I wasn't expecting to like this nearly as much as I did. My husband brought home a ton of leftover brisket from a work function, and I don't really care for brisket (the smokiness is a little overpowering for me), but we had all this free meat to use up so I set out to find ways to use it. We'd made brisket melt sandwiches and I think it was your recipe for brisket stroganoff, and I was meh on them, so for our final batch of leftovers I said "eh, chili, I guess that will work." Well, my husband utterly loved it and my teenaged son was enthusiastic for him. But even I, despite thinking "do I even feel like eating this?" while scooping it into my bowl, was pleasantly surprised to find it not just edible but definitely Good! Anyway, so, thank you for giving me a winner here!

Hi Pat,
I really appreciate you letting me know this was missing. It was caused by switching the recipe card format and it took me a long time to recover it. It is now updated and I hope that you can try this recipe.

Hi Marci,
You can use the same temperature for the oven, it might take a bit longer but best to use the digital thermometer to cook to desired temperature. I hope that helps.

I tried this recipe and it was a hit with everyone. I recently received a meat slicer and used it to cut the roast. Very silent dinner. Unless you count the noises made with a full mouth. Shaved beef all week for dinner (tacos, burritos, Arby's roast beef sandwiches...).
