Trying to decide what to make for dinner? These Brown Sugar Chicken Tenders are fast and delicious! Serve them alongside grilled potato wedges and garlic bread. We cooked about 3 pounds and used the leftovers to make cheesy chicken spaghetti, which was a huge hit.

Ingredients for Brown Sugar Chicken Tenders:

  • Chicken Tenders
  • Olive Oil

Best Dry Rub:

  • Brown Sugar
  • Granulated Garlic
  • Smoked Paprika
  • Kosher Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Dry Mustard
  • Chili Flakes

How to Grill Brown Sugar Chicken Tenders:

  • Prepare a grill fire to about 300° with hickory or oak for smoke flavor.

  • Pat chicken tenders dry with paper towels and place on a baking sheet.

  • Drizzle chicken with olive oil.

  • Mix up brown sugar rub and sprinkle over chicken on both sides.

  • Cook chicken over indirect heat with the grill closed about 10 minutes.

  • Check internal temperature with a digital thermometer and cook until chicken reaches 165°. 
  • Remove from grill and allow to rest 5 minutes before serving.

How to Store and Reheat:

Store chicken tenders in an airtight container or zip top bag in the refrigerator up to 4 days. 

Reheat in a skillet with about 1 tablespoon of water for every 2 chicken tenders. Cover and cook over medium heat, flip after about 3 minutes. Chicken should be heated through completely in about 6 – 8 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken tenders
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup Best Dry Rub recipe below

Instructions

  • Prepare a grill fire to 300° with hickory or oak for smoke flavor.
  • Remove chicken from packaging and pat dry with paper towels and place on a baking sheet.
  • Drizzle olive oil over both sides of chicken.
  • Sprinkle with dry rub and press into chicken over all sides.
  • Cook chicken over indirect fire with the lid closed for about 8 minutes. Turn and continue to cook another 8 - 10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165° with a digital thermometer.
  • Remove from grill and allow to rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store leftover chicken tenders in a zip top bag or wrapped in plastic wrap up to 4 days.
Reheat in a covered skillet using 1-2 tablespoons of water with the chicken tenders. Cook over medium heat for about 5 - 8 minutes.
